“Beyond extra virgin”

HACIENDA QUEILES is a Navarra company located in the Valley of Queiles for over 25 years. The small valley lies between the snows of the Moncayo and the arid desert of the Bardenas Reales Biosphere Reserve. In the historical evolution, olive trees has always been present and fundamentally linked to the three Cistercian abbeys that settled in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries.

In this environment are located our olive groves and our oil mill. With an area of 65 Ha, our plantation has 20,000 olive trees, mainly of the arbequina variety and some of the variety arroniz, native of Navarre. With its fruits, we produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil of high quality, surpassing us year after year and placing our brand as one of the most prestigious in the world.

There cannot be an extra virgin olive oil of high quality if it is not part of a perfect fruit. In our PAGO, all agricultural practices are extremely important and are carried out through certified ecological practices. We were pioneers in Spain collecting the olive in early maturation that arrives at the mill in perfect conditions.

Our oil mill, built in the olive grove, presents an exquisite architecture of integration. We elaborate nothing more than our own olives, with total control of the fruit and with a perfect traceability. It is equipped with technologically innovative production systems and has a tasting room, gastronomic space and for the dissemination of the culture of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

In 2008, it was awarded as the Best Oil Mill in Spain by the AEMO.

All this has led us, repeatedly, to obtain our Extra Virgin Olive Oil ABBAE DE QUEILES, which has a great recognition both nationally and internationally.

It is difficult, from our small size, to internationalize our products, yet our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is present in more than twenty-five countries, being sold in the most prestigious establishments and cuisines in the world.

There are also many awards received by Hacienda Queiles in competitions and the most important oil guides:

– “Alimentos de España”, Ministry of Agriculture. 2011/12.

– Best EVOO, Ministry of Agriculture 2011/12 – 2016/17.

– Best EVOO, IOC 2012, 2013 and 2014, Expoliva 2013 and 2017, Ecotrama 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

– Best EVOO of the World, Guide Flos Olei 2016.

– Best Mill in Spain, AEMO 2008.

– More than 40 awards in other national and international competitions.
