Digitization has become the asset to be promoted in this industry due to the new environment that the pandemic has generated. Online sales of high-end products accounted for 23% of the total in 2020, compared to 12% in 2019. Therefore, this channel is undoubtedly the engine to overcome the crisis and guarantee future growth, as it is expected that by 2025 it will already account for 30% of luxury billing.
Círculo Fortuny, together with McKinsey, will present a report on how this digital transformation must be carried out to be successful in this industry, which will guarantee growth in the post-COVID world and which will be presented by Ignacio Marcos, partner and leader of the Consumer, Retail & Fashion division for Spain and Portugal.
The Secretary of State will be in charge of the opening and will detail the roadmap of the Spain Digital Agenda 2025 horizon launched by the Government and the main axes in which they are working, such as the national Artificial Intelligence strategy, the National Plan of Digital Competences or the Plan of Digitization of SMEs, key for the continuity of small artisan businesses.
This vision of the digital ecosystem will be completed with the testimonies of Nacho de Pinedo, Founder and President of ISDI, the leading digital business school, Ignacio García Belenguer, General Director of Teatro Real, Joaquín Serra, Vice President of Natura Bissé, and Holger Harreis, Partner of Mckinsey and leader of the Digital and Analytics team in Fashion and Luxury in Europe.
